Love Island's Lucie Donlan 'would have coupled up with Tommy Fury' if in villa

Lucie Donlan has admitted that if she was still in the Love Island villa that she would have been looking to recouple with Tommy Fury.

The 20-year-old boxer has been ‘exclusive’ with Molly-Mae Hague for quite a few weeks now but Cornish surfer Lucie still says she would want to have been with Tommy if she’d stayed in the villa.

Speaking to Roman Kemp, Dani Dyer and Vick Hope on Capital Breakfast, Lucie came clean about her feelings for Tommy but stands by her decision to choose Joe Garratt in the first instance.

Lucie told them: “I went with how I felt at that moment and I knew it was right for me at that time so I would never change a thing.”

Tommy Fury turned down Lucy to stay with Molly-Mae

When asked why she didn’t choose Tommy first off, Lucie said that his personality took a little while to warm to, while she clicked with Joe instantly.

Despite that, Lucie believed they could have had a future together outside the Love Island villa.

Lucie continued: “When I was first in there Tommy was very serious, I just didn’t really fancy him and it was the lifestyle I quite liked about Tommy, I was like on the outside we’d really work.

“And I kind of questioned it but with Joe I just fancied him straight away, really liked him straight away. And I couldn’t be fake in there.”

Lucie revealed that she went with her gut instinct to start with, which scuppered her chance of romance with Tommy.

Lucie said: “I didn’t want to think long term I thought you know I like Joe, I’m gonna go for that, so I did.

“And then, coz it was such a small environment, later down the line I’d spent like a month with Tommy and we were best friends and we just got on so well – I fancied him for his personality.”

Lucie confirmed: “Right now, you know who it would be right now – it would still be Tommy.

“Coz he’s still the guy in there that I told him before I left that I liked so that was literally a few days ago.”

Lucie did reveal that she wouldn’t be looking to steal Tommy off the arms of Molly-Mae Hague, once the series is over but has admitted previously that she would be there if the relationship faltered.
