Love Island star India Reynolds has hit out at the ITV reality romance show for shunning “curvy” women.
The 30-year-old reality star was a contestant on the smash ITV2 series back in 2019 – where she was paired with basketball hunk Ovie Soko.
India says she was shocked to be considered one of the more curvaceous contestants of the series, explaining that she was a size 10 during her time on the show.
Now India is hitting out at Love Island – which is due to return to screens for the first time since the winter 2020 series in just two months time – for failing to cast more diverse boy types on the show.

She told The Sun on Sunday: “It was mad that I was considered curvy on the show.
“I’m a dress size 10, which is smaller than average.”
She added: “When I came out, I realised there was a huge misrepresentation of women’s bodies because if people are looking at me and thinking I’m the curvy one then the general scale is way off.”

Former Love Island stars Molly Smith and Zara McDermott have previously hit out at bodyshaters who have accused them of being “too skinny”.
Molly – who featured in the Winter 2020 series – hit back on social media last year, writing: “I’ve had a few comments about being ‘too skinny’ … that I need to eat more etc … I’ve actually never been so healthy. Telling someone they’re too skinny isn’t ok, no one knows the background of that person.”
She added: “I work hard at the gym and enjoy my workouts and PT’s with @zakmason__ (even though I annoy him) and I’m so appreciative of how hard he pushes me and helps me. Also @francisdiet has helped me to understand food and maintain a healthier lifestyle – I’ve actually never eaten so much.”
While Zara – who featured in the summer 2018 series – opened up about the impact comments about her weight had on her.
She said online last year: “I never thought those kinds of comments could hurt me, but if I’m honest they hurt me more than the fat shaming comments. Why? Because I have worked so hard to get to where I am, I have spent so much time changing my lifestyle and focusing on being healthier.

“I can now walk up a hill without feeling out of breath, I can run down the road and feel absolutely fine, my mental health has never been better.”
Love Island is due to return to screens in two months following an 18 month hiatus – forced by the coronavirus pandemic.
It is unclear if the show will return to the traditional Majorca villa location for the 2021 series – while there is speculation a villa on Jersey has been optioned as an alternative should the show be unable to film in Spain.
