Love Island’s Amber Gill debuts new black and blonde braids and long red nail extensions as she unveils stunning post-lockdown makeover

She’s been cooped up at home like the majority of the nation amid the coronavirus lockdown.

But, on Saturday, Amber Gill debuted her new black and blonde braids and long red nail extensions as she unveiled her stunning post-lockdown makeover on Instagram.

The Love Island 2019 winner, 22, ensured she got involved as hairdressers and pubs in England re-opened, opting for a gorgeous transformation ahead of a night out in London.

Amber ditched her signature natural curls in favour of the long braided extensions, which she tied into a half-up half-down ‘do.

The reality star also opted for a stand-out set of pillar box red nails, after going for months without having had any extensions.

Tagging those who’d help aid her transformation, including braider @dsrhair and nail technician @kari_squared, Amber wrote: ‘Face like ooo.’

It’s unclear how the Love Islander was able to have her nails done, given that while hairdressers and barbers were allowed to reopen on Saturday, other beauty services – including nail bars (whether mobile or in a fixed location) – remain off-limits.

Early on during lockdown, Amber was slammed by fans after complaining she was missing her fifth holiday of the year.

The reality star hit back by telling her detractors to ‘shut up’ after being branded out of touch for her Instagram post.

The star posted a throwback photo of her with a pal doing handstands on the beach in bikinis in Tobago, captioned: ‘I thought I’d be on holiday number 5 by now’ followed by a crying face emoji as she took to social media from lockdown.

The photo garnered a negative reaction from shocked followers of the star, with one writing: ‘Well ain’t that a shame when thousands of people around the world are dying…’

In April, Amber admitted quarantine has made her reconsider her occupation, the TV star captioned the post: ‘Adventures of Amber. Shall I just become a full time travel blogger when this is over?

‘This has made me realise how much I’m an island girl My insta needs to be more tropical.’ [sic]
