Molly-Mae Hague has stuck up for herself in the face of body shaming comments which called her ‘lardy’ and ‘out of shape’.

The Love Island star hit back on Twitter in response to a fan who shared the remarks – left on the comments section of news website which had published the pictures – calling them ‘vile’.

The pap shots show Molly-Mae at the beach, wearing a white two-piece bikini printed with pink flowers.

Retweeting the fan’s post on her own timelines, Molly-Mae added: ‘I would genuinely love to know who writes these comments?

‘Like how can you actually write s**t like that and sleep at night? Beyond me.’

Her followers rushed to her defence, leaving uplifting messages in the replies.

‘You know your worth and these people are not worth your time,’ read one comment.

Another said: ‘Your beautiful and your body is goals!!! Ignore them they are just jealous that a 21 year old is doing better in life than they are.’

‘You are so beautiful molly. Your body is beautiful. Honestly people are so nasty these days I don’t know how other people can tear people down. It’s just not necessary,’ said one fan, while another tweeted: ‘I think you are absolutely rocking it girl! You look absolutely amazing Star-struck (sic).’

The reality TV star stepped away from social media recently following the death of her and boyfriend Tommy Fury’s pet dog Mr Chai.

However the pair are moving on, moving into a new flat in Manchester and celebrating their one year anniversary earlier this month.

The couple met on Love Island last year.
