Love Island Elma admits she lied about her age to get on the show

Former Love Islander Elma Pazar has rolled back the years, quite literally.

The beauty technician has revealed she lied about her age in order to appear on the show.

Elma, who was booted out of the villa last week, was coupled with Anton Danyluk at the time.

After arriving back on British shores, Elma joined Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free on the Love Island Morning After podcast.

Elma discussed her time in the villa and confessed she told producers she was 23, knocking off three years from her actual age.

She said: “I lied about my age on Love Island. I tell everyone I’m 23, it’s a real issue.

“I’m 26 but now everyone knows it because they said they couldn’t lie for me.”

Compared to 2018’s batch of singletons, this year’s line up features much younger contestants, including Tommy Fury, 20, Molly-Mae, 21, Amber Gill, 21, and Danny Williams, 21.

Model Tom Walker is the oldest at 29 for the boys, while the oldest girl is Anna Vakili at 28.

Elma also discussed how she’s a “mixed bag of emotions” since leaving the villa.

Despite coupling up with Anton, Elma confessed things would be a lot different if she was an original cast member on the show.

She revealed she would “step forward” for Joe Garratt.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Elma said: “He’s a southerner like me and he’s really nice.

“He has a certain banter, and you get on with some people more than others and I think I really got on with him.”

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
