Many reality stars have taken to social media to hit out at the producers behind a number of TV shows, claiming the aftercare provided is simply not good enough.

Now Love Island 2018 hunk Alex Miller has broken his silence – defending TV workers behind the scenes.

Taking to his Instagram story, the Essex lad said: “I found out about the Mike news last night when I was out and it put a bit of a downer on things if I am honest.

“I just want to emphasise the importance of talking to people if you have any mental issues or are going through a hard time.

“I will defend them a bit, they can’t keep an eye on everyone all time, it’s just not possible as there are so many of us”

“There is no shame as a bloke in talking to anyone.”

Giving his personal experience after leaving the hit ITV show, Alex, 28, continued: “From a Love Island perspective probably about five months after I was out of the villa and it had all died down and I was in a bit of a dark place and partying too much.

“Not having a structure messed with me.

“I did have a rant on here and one of the Love Island producers got in touch and put me back I touch with a psychiatrist.

Stressing the importance of seeking help before it’s too late, the buff lad added: “But just talk to someone.

“Message me on here, I will talk to you, but don’t hide away, there is nothing to be ashamed of.”

Mike was just 26 years old when he was found dead in a park on Saturday.
