ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, 59, said the secret to her long-term marriage with Steve is a balance between giving each other space and spending time together. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Lorraine revealed: “I think we make time to talk. We like each other and he makes me laugh. We give each other space. We have our own interests as well as enjoying doing things together.
“That keeps us interested and interesting. We respect each other.”
Lorraine met Steve at work over 30 years ago before tying the knot in 1992.
Three years later, they had their first child together, a daughter named Rosie.
Lorraine – who is an ambassador for Wayfair – previously opened up on what she does around their shared home.
The presenter revealed Steve is predominately on cooking duties, while she tidies up.
Lorraine added: “My favourite room in the house in the kitchen, as it’s where my family comes together.
“One of the best things is that my husband, Steve, does all of the cooking.”
She continued: “I’m not the best at putting a meal together, but I do my fair share with the tidying up!”
Lorraine went on to say the pair have a catch up while preparing for their evening meal.
“I love to sit with him while he preps a meal, have a chat and hear about his day,” she continued.
“Our wee dog Angus is running around — it’s just lovely.”
Lorraine first met her husband when she worked as a correspondent and he worked as a camera man.
The presenter previously joked she made the first move before they got together officially.
She told Hello! Magazine: “It took me about a year… and then I leapt on him like a ninja!”
Lorraine also admitted she still has her wedding dress, adding: “It was 1992 so it was kind of like a Princess Diana bouffant thing with big sleeves – oh God.
“We could all get in it! We could all fit in my dress. I’ve still got it.”
