Lorraine Kelly proved exactly why she is one of the most successful TV hosts in the industry after she was hit with a number of technical fails.
The ITV regular had planned to speak to Nick Grimshaw live on the show at 9.45am via a phone in link from his Sports Relief trek in Namibia.
However, seconds before the heavily plugged interview was due to take place, Lorraine was forced to admit they had lost Nick.
Though keen to get an update on the trek, quick thinking bosses managed to contact The Saturdays babe Frankie Bridge who is currently also on the challenge.
Sadly, things didn’t go to plan either.

Seconds into the chat the line began to break-up and Frankie’s voice crackled
Pushing ahead, Lorraine asked: “We were going to speak to Nick Grimshaw, he had heat exhaustion.
“He going to be able to continue?”
Her question was met with silence due to the fact Frankie’s line was lost.
Brushing off the fail like a pro, Lorriane said: “She’s gone..
“We will n ever find out.”

Speaking earlier in the week, Nick said: ‘I’m absolutely gutted not to be with the team today.
“I was mentally prepared for it but the medical team have decided I need to miss today.
‘I got pulled by the medic just 2k from the finish line and treated for heat exhaustion. I’d been drinking, eating, resting regularly but it came on so quickly.”
