Turning around for another photo, Lizzie showcased the glitzy oversized bow at the bottom of her back as the dress nipped in at her waist before fanning to the ground.

She styled her honey-blonde hair in bouncy loose curls with stylish sweeping bangs and added a slick of pink lipstick to complete her glamorous look.

The event worked to raise funds to help empower young women, and their families, as they go through cancer and beyond.

Alongside the photos she penned: ‘She will go to the ball! Supporting my dear friend Fiona who sadly lost her daughter to cancer. We are going to give a big kick to the big C tonight and raise lots for Victoria’s Promise.’

Speaking after the ball to MailOnline, Lizzie said: ‘I was very proud to host the event and support this charity. The charity means so much to me as there are so many young women being diagnosed with cancer that have noone to talk to.

‘I lost my friend Sarah Harding from girls aloud from this terrible disease and Victoria’s Promise gives a chance those going through cancer to get help and speak to all the cancer sufferers going through the same thing. I wish Sarah would have had this.’
