LIVERPOOL have joined the race to sign Turkish star Dorukhan Tokoz, according to reports.
The midfielder impressed at giants Besiktas last season following his breakthrough campaign into league football.
Tokoz, 23, was previously at Eskisehirspor before making the step up to the Turkish giants.
And after being handed his opportunity in November, he has gone from strength to strength in the middle of the park.
His impressive form also saw him called up to the Turkey national side where he proved his ability against the world champions.
Facing the likes of Paul Pogba in midfield, Tokoz controlled the game as his side ran out surprising 2-0 winners.
It has appeared enough to encourage Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to make his move in a bid to bolster his squad.
Tokoz, whose strongest position is in defensive midfield, will add competition to the side as they look to challenge Manchester City to the Premier League title.
Reports in Turkey suggest that Italian club Udinese have seen a £7.1million bid rejected with Besiktas holding out for £10m.
Liverpool have yet to make an offer but the article further suggests that talks between the two clubs have taken place regarding his availability.
Meanwhile the Reds could cash in on defender Dejan Lovren if they receive an offer in the region of £25m.
Italian giants AC Milan are considering bringing him to Italy.
