Little Mix take swipe at Simon Cowell over new show with 'authentic' talent jibe

Little Mix took a swipe at Simon Cowell after stating that their talent show will be “authentic” in a recent interview.

The iconic girlband sensation, which includes Perrie Edwards, 25, Jesy Nelson, 28, Jade Thirlwall, 26, catapulted to global stardom after appearing on Simon Cowell’s ITV hit show in 2011.

After being randomly pieced together as a group of four, by X Factor judges , the girls eventually went on to be crowned the winners.

Now no longer contracted to label Syco, the girls have launched their own TV talent show to find new musical talent.

Their new show The Search is due to land on tv screens early next year and will act as direct competition for ITV’s talent scouts.

During a group interview with the Metro, girlband member Jade appeared to take a swipe at Simon which added to speculation that there could be some healthy rivalry going down.

She spouted: “We’re really going to be there for the contestants, before and after the show.”

She continued: “I think there’s going to be elements of all the shows over the years that have done well, which we’ll take a little piece of and create our own version of that.”
