Liquid nose jobs are the latest cosmetic trend people are trying out

Women are more open to talking about – and getting – cosmetic treatments than ever in 2019. And as the popularity for these treatments grows, more options are becoming available for those who choose to alter their look. Here at GLAMOUR HQ, we believe that it’s your beauty and your rules so if you want to try cosmetic treatments, that’s totally your call (as long as you do it safely and with a well-informed doctor, of course!).

And now it seems that Rhinoplasty may be a thing of the past, as new ‘liquid nose jobs’ become the latest cosmetic trend.

The procedure promises to alter your nose shape *without* you even having to go under the knife.

It can take around 10-15 minutes, and is also said to be less painful than the traditional surgical method.

But how does it work?

Filler is injected into your nose to change the shape – the procedure can help to raise the tip and bridge of your nose, as well as plump the skin to remove bumps and straighten the appearance of your nose.

The new cosmetic procedure not only has a much faster turnaround, but also boasts a much smaller price-tag. While nose fillers can cost between £395 and £800 depending on the practice you visit, a surgical nose job can cost between £4500 to £7000.

Whilst the treatment time may be a lot speedier – it may not be the best idea to go out and get done in between your morning meetings. The side effects can include swelling and bruising around the nose area – nothing too serious, but you may feel slightly uncomfortable upon your return back to the office.

Dr Naomi McCullum, founder of The Manse Clinic in Australia, told Femail all about the benefits of liquid nose jobs. “It can be much more precise than surgical rhinoplasty and is often used to improve defects after surgical rhinoplasty,” he said.

As the worst case scenario, two serious cases in Australia have resulted in blindness and death – so you must *always* make sure you are seeing a registered medical practitioner.
