Lidl is selling 20 chicken nuggets shaped like Easter bunnies for £2.50

NUGGET fans should hop on over to Lidl next week as the discount retailer will be selling the cutest Easter bunny shaped chicken nuggets.

A bag of 20 of the Easter themed snacks will set you back £2.49 and they go on sale in Lidl stores from Thursday April 4.

Lidl says the frozen nuggets just need to be popped in the oven for 17 to 19 minutes at 180 degrees centigrade before you can enjoy them.

And in a nod to perhaps the most famous nuggets of all time – McDonald’s McNuggets – the tasty morsels come with a curry sauce and a sweet and sour dip making them perfect for dunking.

Lidl says the tasty treats will be in stores while stock lasts but given Easter is on April 21 you’re unlikely to see them after this.

We’ve also asked Lidl how many calories is in a pack and we’ll update this story as soon as we get a response.

Eagle-eyed shoppers posted the Easter Nuggets on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group and they’re seriously excited about the launch.

The post has already been liked nearly 1,000 times and been commented on more than 1,100 times.

One user wrote: “I need these in my life!” while another said: “Is it wrong I’m really drawn to these?! Don’t know if it’s because they look like McDonalds or the fact it’s bunny rabbits!”

You can get 20 chicken nuggets for less – Asda for example sells a pack of 20 for just 82p – but these are the only bunny shaped nuggets we’ve seen.

Of course the original animal nugget is the turkey dinosaur – and this year Iceland launched the turkey unicorn.

But watch out as some chicken nuggets sold in supermarkets have just 41 per cent meat, The Sun reveals.

And for non-meat eaters McDonald’s now does vegan nuggets made of mashed potato, chickpeas and carrots – but only in Norway.
