LIB Dem boss Jo Swinson was last night urged to sack a wannabe MP who called for Boris Johnson to be chopped up and “burned at the stake”.

The Libs’ Galen Milne launched a violent rant about the PM and other prominent Brexiteers on Facebook.

Mr Milne, the party’s parliamentary candidate for Banff and Buchan, said: “Johnson, Fox, Gove, Davis, Rees-Mogg should be hung, drawn and quartered, with each quarter being sent to the 4 corners of the UK to be burned at the stake”.

He also dubbed Conservative MP “Tory rats” who “rear their ugly heads”.

And he advocated splitting the party as the “final solution” – a phrase used by the Nazis about their slaughter of Jews.

Tory Vice Chairman Andrew Bowie said: “Jo Swinson said she would do anything to stop Brexit but surely she can’t endorse this.

“She has criticised ‘harsh, hostile politics’ in the past but this seems to be the consequence of her extreme position on Brexit.

“If she doesn’t act against senior members of her own party threatening violence against MPs then she will be exposed as a hypocrite.”
