Liam Neeson apologised for admitting he once looked for a ‘black b*****d’ to kill after a friend was raped

Last month the actor, 66, told how he had once looked for a “black b*****d” to kill after a friend was raped.
Neeson denied being racist after a backlash.

In yesterday’s statement Neeson said: “I was wrong to do what I did.

“The comments I made were hurtful and divisive. I profoundly apologise.”

Promoting his latest film Cold Pursuit, Neeson told of his friend’s rape.

He said: “I went up and down with a cosh, hoping some black b*****d would come out of a pub and have a go at me… so that I could kill him.”
