The rock’n’roll hardman is still scared of one person: his mum.
Liam Gallagher, 46, became embroiled in a mean Twitter spat with his brother Noel, 52, after he reportedly sent a threatening text to his older sibling’s daughter, Anais Gallagher, 19, directed at Noel’s wife.
Learning about her son’s altercation, Peggy gave Liam such a “b******ing” on the phone, he lied and claimed the messages were posted by a hacker.
Speaking on a new podcast, the Mancunian singer revealed he was so scared of his mother’s wrath he bent the truth.
He said: “My mum did give me a bit of a b******ing on the phone about my tweets. She went, ‘Look, you better pack it in.’
“I went, ‘All right, I was hacked.’ She went, ‘What do you mean, hacked?’ I was like, ‘I was hacked, someone got my phone and did all that, the police are looking into it, mum.’”
Despite the long-running feud with Noel, he admitted he still loves him.

He explained: “Listen, I was in a band with him for however long, and I’d come out of interviews and people would be going, ‘He don’t like you, does he?’ It’s just payback time now.
“I don’t mean any harm, I love Our Kid.
“If you can’t sl*g your brother off, who can you? You can’t sl*g your mum off.”

The singer locked horns with Noel’s wife Sara McDonald who called him a “fat t**t” on Instagram in front of her 3,500 followers.
In the message, Liam allegedly screen grabbed Sara’s comment, and sent it to Anais, writing: “Tell your step mam to be very careful.”
Liam has since come forward and apologised, tweeting to his 3million followers: “My sincere apologies to my beautiful mum, Peggy and my lovely niece Anais for getting caught up in all of this childish behaviour I love you both dearly LG x.”
