Liam Gallagher has issued a plea to his brother Noel Gallagher to reform Oasis for a one-off charity gig once the coronavirus pandemic is over.

The rocker’s feud between his sibling and former bandmate Noel has been infamous since the band’s split in 2009, but Liam has frequently spoken about his desire to get the band back together.

And now, he wants to bring about the glorious return of one of Britpop’s finest when the worst of the current health crisis – which has seen almost 10,000 people around the world lose their lives as of the time of writing – has subsided.

He tweeted:  ‘Listen seriously a lot of people think I’m a c*** and I am a good looking c***but once this is put to bed we need to get oasis back for a 1 of gig rite for charity c’mon Noel we can then go back to our amazing solo careers c’mon you know LG x (sic)’.

He highlighted his dream line-up, which included the usual suspects of British rock n’ roll – The Smiths, Johnny Marr, The Jam (Paul Weller) and… The Cheeky Girls.

After lamenting other bands ‘who think [they’re] too cool for school’, he included a tongue-in-cheek addition of the Romanian pop duo, who shot to fame back in the early Noughties.

These tweets come after the singer made light of the Covid-19 pandemic, joking that he has been ‘self-isolating’ from Noel for years. He also spoke out on Twitter about a false alarm, when he suspected he’d caught coronavirus.

When asked by a fan what he thought of the coronavirus emergency, he replied with the following gem: ‘I feel like I’ve had it 7 times the last few days then realised the house is just hot.’

Never change, Liam.

In all seriousness, the star has been self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic, due to his diagnosis with Hashimoto’s disease, which is an autoimmune disorder that can cause an underactive thyroid.

‘I am got hashimotis so not good for me to be out n about [sic],’ he explained.
