Liam Gallagher backs Scotland after brother Noel's 'third world country' insult

Former Oasis icon Liam Gallagher shared a video of himself enjoying a bowl of soup and thanking fans.

Halfway through, bagpipes start playing in the background and Liam, 46, then compliments Scotland.

The Manchester lad said: “I want to thank all my brothers and sisters for buying tickets for the tour. I really appreciate it.

“You’ve made a very so-called angry man very, very happy. I love you all and I’ll see you soon.”

“Scotland’s a beautiful country, the people are magnificent”

As the bag pipes play he adds: “By the way, Scotland’s a beautiful country, the people are magnificent, get yourself up there.”

Quoting the Beatles song I am the Walrus, he finishes: “I am he, you are he, you are me, we are all together.”

The seemingly random video comes after his brother Noel Gallagher, 52, branded Scotland a “third world country” in a recent interview.

His comment came amid his ongoing feud with Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, after the Someone You Loved hitmaker poked fun at him during his Glastonbury set.

Noel told Variety: “F***ing Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes.

“The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. It’s the greatest day of his f***ing life so far. He’s just thinking, ‘Wow.’

“Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that but f***ing hell. It is like a third world country but for f***’s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely.”

It’s clear Liam is backing Lewis as he also has a long-running feud with Noel.

Lewis and Liam posed backstage at Glastonbury, where the Scottish star had taken to the stage in a Noel t-shirt and played an interview in which Noel slated him on the big screens.

Recently, Liam and Noel have locked horns over messages Liam reportedly sent to Noel’s daughter, threatening Noel’s wife.

It doesn’t look like these brothers ever have a day off of World War Gallagher.
