Lewis Hamilton, 34, shared a triumphant photo of himself alongside the Mercedes-AMG crew after placing second to Valtteri Bottas, 29, in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Posting the image in view of his 10.8million followers, the F1 star informed fans about how “proud” he was of the entire team. He wrote: “This is the strongest start to a season for a team in F1 history. “4 back to back 1-2’s, wow. I couldn’t be prouder of this team, the sheer amount of hard work and vision I see each day from everyone here is mind blowing.
“It’s a privilege to work with such prestige. On to the next one! We win and we lose together TeamLH. Thank you for all your support.”
Lewis appeared next to winner Valtteri in the snap, which showed the sportsmen raising their fists in a display of victory.
The three trophies that Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport had secured in Baku were also placed front and centre in the photo.
Lewis’ fans were quick to comment on the post to congratulate him and the team on their impressive feat.
One replied: “We love you! Keep pushing.”
Another added: “Full support for you always Lewis. You gave it a good go today, great start and you were pushing throughout. Enjoy your team celebrations, well deserved.”

Earlier today, Lewis posted a video update to his followers ahead of the big race.
After removing a pair of mirrored Chanel sunglasses, he said: “Hello everyone, I hope you’re all well. I’m here, back another year in Baku.
“As you can see, it’s a beautiful day, weather’s good. It’s actually quite windy today, windiest day of the week.
“Started second, didn’t manage to pull off yesterday, but today’s going to be really interesting. This race here, there’s more overtakes here than probably anywhere in the world.”
The driver continued that he expected today’s race to be “easier” to handle, adding: “The cars today are a little bit easier to overtake, well to follow.
“So it will be really interesting I think, there’s probably going to be safety cars and the re-starts are a little bit different.”
He also explained why the changing weather conditions could prove to be a positive factor, saying: “Even though it’s windy, it’s quite cool and it gets cooler in the race.”
Lewis ended the message by asking fans to keep their “fingers crossed” on his behalf for the Grand Prix.
