Scots singer Lewis Capaldi gave fans a giggle when he appeared on Lorraine this morning to chat about his roaring success.

The Someone You Loved singer sat down to chat with his fellow Scot after sealing the number one spot on the UK charts.

Lorraine was given a special gift from the star

He revealed that he had been singing and writing songs since he was 9, and his big break was finally paying off.

He also admitted that despite his success, his mum still washes his pants.

The star then whipped out a pair of red loveheart sunglasses, dubbed ‘clout goggles’ which Lewis has been seen in.

He wore the frames in his alternative version of his Someone You Loved music video where he demands “I want to be taken seriously as a musician” and mimes to his own song.

He then shoved a pair of white sunglasses on himself as he told Lorraine: “Everything looks better with these on.”

Twitter users raved about the singer’s appearance on Lorraine.

Lewis has just announced a string of intimate album release shows across the UK, including Dundee and Edinburgh.
