Lewes bonfire night parade – in pictures


Thousands of people attend the annual bonfire procession through the narrow streets of Lewes, East Sussex, which commemorates the memory of 17 Protestant martyrs from the town who were burned at the stake. The evening ends with the burning of an effigy representing Guy Fawkes
