Baby joy! Lego Masters’ Cade Franklin reveals his wife is pregnant with their second child – as he prepares to battle it out in the grand finale

He’s currently battling it out on Channel Nine’s Lego Masters in the hopes of winning a $100,000 cash prize.

But Cade Franklin already has plenty to celebrate, regardless of whether or not he wins the competition.

The 35-year-old video designer from Brisbane revealed on Monday he is expecting a second child with his wife, Melissa.

‘My wife is pregnant at the moment with our second son so she’s just resigned herself to the fact the house will always be full of Lego,’ he told New Idea.

Melissa first announced the news on Facebook in January, sharing a photo of their family made up of Lego blocks – alongside a Lego baby representing the new arrival.

Cade and Melissa already share a two-year-old son named Duke.

Meanwhile, Cade and his teammate Henry have made it to Lego Masters’ grand finale, which airs on Tuesday night.

The two men, who did not know each other before filming the show, said they were nervous about being paired up as strangers.

‘You don’t know how reality TV will convey the relationship but the minute I met Cade, we hit it off straight away,’ Henry told New Idea.

Henry acknowledged they are something of an odd couple, however, with him being a sociable extrovert and Cade being an introvert who doesn’t drink.

‘It was like an awkward first date, but we just hit it off and we just made it work,’ Cade added.
