Coachella is in full swing with everyone from Doja Cat to Blur gracing the stage but one particular act was highly anticipated — No Doubt.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Gwen Stefani reunited with her bandmates Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young for an incredible nostalgia filled setlist.

Fans went wild when the reunion was first confirmed and the It’s My Life hitmakers did not disappoint for their opening weekend in Indigo, California.

No Doubt’s stunning return was elevated to ‘iconic’ as the ever stunning Gwen, 54, brought out popstar Olivia Rodrigo onto the stage.

The 21-year-old held her own as she showed off her rock edge singing along to Bathwater with the Sweet Escape legend.

Olivia has been touring her album Guts and was performing in New York just four days before — where she got smacked in the head by over-enthusiastic fans.

‘Hey Olivia,’ said the Rich Girl icon after an instrumental break in the song. ‘How come girls like me and you…’

‘Always want the bad boys?’ finished the Brutal hitmaker as Gwen agreed they go for ‘dummies’ before launching back into the song.

As Olivia darted around the stage, wearing an ‘I love ND’ top, she was hyped up by the music legend as the crowd went wild.

The Coachella audience were living for the surprise guest as social media was flooded with compliments for the unlikely duo.

‘OLIVIA RODRIGO AND NO DOUBT PERFORMING BATH WATER IS SO ICONIC,’ tweeted stan account Liviesthinker on X.

A throwback video of the Disney alum listing her favourite songs resurfaced where she names Bathwater by No Doubt and says she ‘loves this song so much’.

‘I love Gwen Stefani more than anything, I think she’s such a brilliant songwriter,’ she continued in the clip.

Fan Shelby Jo wrote: ‘Olivia Rodrigo just performed Bathwater with No Doubt at Coachella 🥹 such a full circle moment.’

‘UM THIS IS EVERYTHING imagine having such an iconic lead singer such as Gwen Stefani duo u on stage like she’s literally a rock star i cant,’ shared Nordlys.

AzZaid added: ‘An amazing collaboration, No Doubt’s iconic sound combined with Olivia Rodrigo’s contemporary style would surely make for an unforgettable performance.’

No Doubt climbs charts in the 90s with a string of rock and pop hits, including Don’t Speak and I’m Just A Girl, but split in 2004 as Gwen went solo.

They reunited four years later but parted ways in 2015 once again and have been fairly quiet on the music front ever since — until now.

Olivia started her career that very same year and has now broken away from her Disney image after rising to fame on the High School Musical TV spin-off.

She’s released two incredibly successful albums— Sour and Guts — and is set to tour the UK later this year.

Coachella-goers were treated to a variety of surprise guests including Tyler the Creator bringing out legendary Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover.

Elsewhere, however, gigs haven’t gone so smoothly as they could as Lana Del Ray was hit with sound issues and Grimes ended up screaming from frustration.

Grimes had tried to restart her songs several times but they were at the wrong tempo, meaning she couldn’t mix properly and left fans calling it the ‘worst set ever’.

Coachella runs for two weekends, with artists performing this weekend and next at the the Empire Polo Club in the Coachella Valley.

No Doubt are thought to be performing again next weekend, in the penultimate Saturday slot so who knows if Olivia will return or fans might see another special guest.
