LadBaby drops innuendo-filled charity single I Love Sausage Rolls for shot at second Christmas number one

LadBaby has dropped his new charity single I Love Sausage Rolls in the hopes of claiming a second consecutive Christmas number one.

Hey, he’s done it before.

The YouTube star, who’s raising money for the Trussell Trust, released the music video for the song, which shows him and his wife Roxanne sneaking into Abbey Road Studios to perform the song.

Despite having a blast belting out the hit, a parody of Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, with their kids Phoenix and Kobe, the end of the video sees the pair being escorted out of the premises by the police.

‘Am I gonna go down for this?’ the YouTuber asks at the end, with the officer replying with his iconic catchphrase: ‘Yes mate.’

Also rocking out on a sausage roll guitar (yep), the video is already iconic.

The song is also a little more innuendo-filled than last year’s We Built this City…On Sausage Rolls, with Rox singing at one point: ‘Didn’t know it would turn me on, but I’ve never seen one so long’.

Steady on.

However, the charity message definitely isn’t lost from the video, with an image reading: ‘Over 14 million people are living below the poverty line in the UK. 4.1 million of those are children.

‘That’s the same as 9 in every 30 children in a classroom. By 2022, it’s expected that 5.2 million children will live in poverty.’

The Trussell Trust, which will be receiving 100% of profits from the song, fights to stop UK hunger, with food banks across the nation.

Last year’s song We Built This City On Sausage Rolls – a parody of Starship’s We Built This City – raised vital funds for the Trussell Trust that provided over 70,000 food parcels for those in need last Christmas.

It beat the likes of Ariana Grande and Ava Max to number one, with the star now being the favourite to earn the spot again this year.

LadBaby, 32, said: ‘We were blown away by the support we received on our Christmas Number 1 single last year and how far that money has gone into changing the lives of families living in poverty across the UK.

‘We’re continually looking for ways we can support food bank charity the Trussell Trust further as the size of the problem still facing so many adults (and children) is huge and we all need to do whatever we can to say goodbye to poverty once and for all in the UK!’

I Love Sausage Rolls is available to download and stream.
