Previously, speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Apa suggested he was signed on to Riverdale for the next three years.
Although the star wouldn’t go into the specifics of his contract, he and his co-stars are signed on for several more seasons.
Apa takes on projects during the two months when he’s not working on Riverdale.
However, he admitted it was tough to juggle both, explaining: “I feel like I just need to chill. I feel so burnt out. I feel so tired.
“But there’s also that thing of like, I need to keep working. I’m young. This is my prime time. This is what everyone’s telling me, at least, that this is my prime time and I need to keep working.
“They don’t tell me that I have to work, but I can hear it in their voices when they’re like, ‘This is a great opportunity.’ I mean, they always want me to work, because they’re earning money off me too.”
Riverdale returns to The CW on April 8 and Netflix UK on April 9
