Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington dedicated some time to a yoga and pilates class during his stay at a wellness retreat in Connecticut on Thursday.

Seen for the first time since going public about his decision to seek treatment for personal issues, in pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, the 32-year-old seemed to be adjusting to a slower way of life.

The British star has now been at the $120,000 (£94,000) a month luxury retreat Privé-Swiss for a month to focus on what sources call ‘stress and alcohol issues’ brought on by the end of his career-defining show.

He looked relaxed in charcoal jogging bottoms and a flat cap, carrying a bottle of water to a fitness centre, which is attached to the Privé-Swiss brand but not on the grounds of the retreat.

Kit has previously been seen buying books in the small nearby town of Madison and going about business as usual, including trips to the gym.

Yet within the confines of the wellness retreat, he has access to psychological coaching, cognitive behavioral therapy and meditation while he spends time on himself.

The actor’s team confirmed that Kit was optimising this break in his schedule on Monday, just 10 days after the finale of Game of Thrones aired in the UK and US.

A statement issued to Metro.co.uk said ‘Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.’

His wife Rose Leslie, whom he met while filming GoT and married last summer, is being ‘extremely supportive,’ while friends say they hope he gets some ‘rest’ in the rehab facility.

The 32-year-old has reportedly been hit so hard by the end of his time playing central lead Jon Snow that he turned to alcohol and is now being treated for stress.

‘The end of GoT really hit Kit hard…,’ a source told PageSix. ‘He realised “this is it — this is the end”, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?’

Kit has spoken openly about how he’s coping with the conclusion of Game of Thrones, after nine years with the franchise.

He moved to tears when he read the script for Season 8, Episode 6 in behind the scenes documentary The Last Watch and said he ‘broke down’ when the scenes were filmed in July 2018.

But before that, he admitted that he struggled with being at the forefront of one of the world’s biggest shows and dominating the opening of Season 6, which centered on Jon Snow’s resurrection.

He began seeking therapy in his early twenties, saying he was not talking to people enough about what he was experiencing.
