Kim Kardashian has promised Kanye West fans that his new studio album, Jesus Is King will finally be released Sunday 29 September.

The album was originally slated for release on Friday 27 September, and when it failed to materialise, it left many fans disappointed and confused.

However, Kim has now claimed that the album was postponed again due to ‘a few final tweaks to mixes’.

Taking to her Instagram story, the 38-year-old said: ‘Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday.

‘He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.’

Kim also shared video highlights of fans at a preview screening for the rapper’s upcoming film, titled Jesus Is Lord, revealing that her husband had played previews of the album’s tracks for those in attendance.

It is not yet known whether the film is a documentary or a feature, but the star has said it will be screened in IMAX cinemas in October.

‘Kanye showed a small clip of the making of his @imax film, Jesus Is Lord,’ she said.

‘I can’t wait for you guys to see this @imax film in October.’

Kim was also the one that seemingly confirmed the tracklist for the album – which is reportedly influenced by gospel music.

She had previously shared a picture of a notepad to Instagram at the end of August – which showed the titles of some of the songs that could be set to appear on the album.

Kanye started his Sunday Service group earlier in the year, which consists of people joining him to sing songs in church every Sunday, so it’s not a surprise that his new album will have a gospel sound to it.

This isn’t the first time that one of Kanye’s albums was not released on schedule.

The 41-year-old was originally meant to release Yandhi in September 2018, as a followup to Ye, which he released in June 2018.

The album was then pushed back to 23 November, but it never arrived.
