Killing Eve season 4 has started filming – here's everything you need to know

Everyone’s favourite villain and anti-hero are back for a new series of Killing Eve.

Jodie Comer confirmed season four filming has begun and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Speaking on the red carpet at Sunday night’s BAFTA Awards, Jodie said filming started “tomorrow” (Monday 7th June).

She added: “Don’t worry I’ve pre-ordered my taxi, I’m not gonna’ be hungover, I’ll be very sensible.”

Then she went on to share how she feels about playing the iconic role.

“Yes, I think that’s the thing I’m going to miss the most.

“I was thinking, somebody asked me this the other day, it’s the mischief, it’s getting away with all that trouble,” she said.

When does it start?

A specific date hasn’t been set, but BBC America has confirmed it will be in 2022. First it will go to America, then come to the UK.

A fourth season was confirmed in January 2020, and it was also announced to be the final one.

There may be spinoff shows that follow, but the show in its original form will come to an end next year.

The series is expected to be eight episodes long.

At the time of the announcement, Sandra Oh said: “Killing Eve has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon.

“I’m so grateful for all cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season.”

Who will star?

Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh will reprise their roles as Villanelle and Eve.

Fiona Shaw is expected to continue as Carolyn too, but the rest of the cast looks hazy right now as so many beloved characters, like Constantin, were killed off in the last season.

It’s likely that new cast will be introduced in smaller roles.

What will the plot be?

So far no details on the plot have been given, but it will still focus on the chase between Villanelle and Eve will continue.

At the end of season 3, the two paired ways amicably – though it’s unlikely to stay that way for long.

As more is revealed we’ll update this.

Is there a trailer?

Not yet, seeing as filming has only just started.

We’ll update this when there is a trailer.
