As Kesha was escorted out of the airport, she outstretched her arms out in excitement upon spying some of her fans.

Her open palms revealed tattoos in the centre – an eye on her right and a planet with rings on her left.

The Right Round singer beamed walking through the airport with her security guard, as well as her mother Pebe Sebert.

Kesha announced she would be performing at Sydney Mardi Gras back in December.

Other performers at the festival will include Eurovision 2014 winner Conchita Wurst, and local drag show artist Trevor Ashley.

The party will also include a line-up of eclectic performers, as well as DJs from home and around the world, who will fill the atmosphere with iconic gay anthems and pulsing techno.

Last year’s Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras saw pop icon Kylie Minogue perform for thousands of fans.
