Katy Perry has shared the realities of expecting a baby and admits ‘everything is swollen’ as she nears the later stages of pregnancy.
The Dark Horse singer is awaiting the arrival of her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom and is expecting a baby girl.
During an interview with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, Katy revealed she now weighs 190lbs (86kg) while giving the hosts a glimpse of her bare baby bump.
‘I’m really grateful for my body, and I have so much respect for other women going through this process. You get a whole new viewpoint being pregnant,’ Katy explained.
She added: ‘But everything is swollen! My hands are swollen, and my feet are starting to swell!’
Katy, 35, admits that she’ll be ‘surprised’ if their daughter is laid back as the ‘DNA between [her and Orlando] is very high energy’.
‘But she’ll be what she is, and I’m sure she’ll be here to teach us a lesson,’ she stated.
Sharing how she’s coped with her pregnancy during lockdown, Katy revealed: ‘I’m a very active woman during this time of Covid and the American Revolution [Black Lives Matter movement]. I have been putting out songs and working really hard.
‘One blessing is that I don’t have to travel [for work], which can take it out of you.’
She later added: ‘People will introduce me with all different kinds of accolades, and that’s great, but I can barely keep my s**t together during Covid.’
It’s a particularly difficult time for Katy and Orlando as their beloved pet dog Mighty is missing.
The teacup poodle went missing on Wednesday, and Orlando, 42, appealed to fans for any sightings of his beloved pup, offering a $5,000 (£4,000) reward if Mighty is found.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor wrote on Instagram: ‘MIGHTY IS MISSING in Montecito California he is chipped and his collar has a number to call.
‘If you take him to your local vet or shelter or police station he can be traced back to me for a reward. Please only send REAL INFO my heart is already broken so please don’t add insult to injury.’
