Katie Price EXCLUSIVE: Star, 41, DISABLES her Instagram account


Katie Price has disabled her Instagram account, MailOnline can reveal.

The mother-of-five, 41, has made the decision to quit the photo-sharing platform after previously hinting that she needed to ‘take a break’ from the ‘horrible’ world of social media. 

A source close to the glamour model exclusively told MailOnline that Katie has made the decision to disable her Instagram account, which has more than 2million followers.

Although they insisted that the former glamour model will return to the photo-sharing platform but only when she is ready.

Katie has kept her Twitter account, which has 1.9 million followers, but she has not been active on the micro-blogging site since January.

‘Katie’s Instagram with a following of over 2M has today been disabled,’ a source close to the star confirmed to MailOnline. 

‘Following on from her last emotional post Katie has made the move to disable her account.

‘Katie will be returning to social media but not until she is ready to do so.’

MailOnline has contacted Katie’s representative for comment. 

The news comes after Katie’s estranged third husband Kieran Hayler reportedly got engaged to girlfriend Michelle Penticost during a trip to the Maldives this week.

Michelle took to her Facebook account to share a snap of her ring alongside the caption ‘So today at sunset I became a fiancée (sic).’

In February, Katie took a break from social media following the tragic suicide of her friend Caroline Flack. 

The star admitted that she was ‘heartbroken’ over the death of the late Love Island host and needed to get away from the ‘horrible’ world of social media.

She emotionally added: ‘I’m having a dramatic change in my life for the better.’

The former glamour model also shares an insight into her family on her Quest Red reality TV show My Crazy Life and her YouTube channel, which is still active. 

In December, Katie shared a passionate YouTube video where she spoke about the trolling and online bullying she receives, which is also cruelly aimed at her disabled son Harvey. 

It followed an emotional video posted to her Instagram in November where Katie and Harvey begged trolls not to ‘bully him’.

The mother-of-five filmed her eldest child, 17, who is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome, as he asked bullies to stop being ‘horrible to him’.

Harvey held up a poster from Anna Kennedy Online, a charity which raises Autism Awareness, as he said: ‘Please don’t be horrible to Harvey.’ 

To which Katie asked: ‘What don’t we do to other people?’ with the 17-year-old adding: ‘Not be horrible to Harvey, not be naughty, not bully people.’

In 2018, Katie vowed to be the ‘voice’ for her son Harvey and protect him from abuse – as she took her fight for a new criminal offence of online trolling to parliament.

In February 2018, the TV personality won the backing of MPs for ‘Harvey’s Law’ to create a new criminal offence of online trolling. 

The TV personality also urged internet companies to do more to tackle the hate-filled abuse which is uploaded online following racist and extreme abuse about her son.
