Karlie Kloss has kind of cleared up rumours that she had a falling out with former best friend Taylor Swift, insisting that the pop star is ‘incredible’.
Without actually referencing the fact that the girls haven’t been pictured together in years, Karlie said that she was ‘lucky’ to be able to call her a friend.
‘Taylor’s incredible, and I feel really lucky to call her a friend and she’s one of the hardest-working women,’ Karlie said when asked about the recent essay for Elle that Taylor penned on her girl squad and how the friendship group made her feel insecure.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live, Karlie added: ‘I loved her essay. She’s so talented.’
‘Something about “we’re in our young twenties!” hurls people together into groups that can feel like your chosen family,’ Taylor suggested in her essay about 30 things she has learned before she turns 30.
‘And maybe they will be for the rest of your life. Or maybe they’ll just be your comrades for an important phase, but not forever,’ she added.
‘It’s sad but sometimes when you grow, you outgrow relationships. You may leave behind friendships along the way, but you’ll always keep the memories.’
The pair came to be buddies after a 2012 Teen Vogue interview in which Swift said she wanted to bake cookies with the model.
‘Kaylor’ quickly became a thing, and the pair were spotted at award shows together, and in 2014 they went on a road trip and got ready for the Met Gala together.
However, their relationship appeared to have cooled off, with it thought Taylor was not invited to Karlies wedding in 2017.
In 2018 however, Karlie attended Taylors Nashville show on the Reputation stadium tour, with the 26-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel making no secret of her support for her friend and proudly posting about the concert to her 2.7million fans.
In one clip she’s captioned ‘Made it Just in Time’ she can be seen rushing to the VIP section just as her friend’s concert begins.
She captioned a photo of the performance ‘YASSS!’ and added lots of clapping emojis.
