Kevin later proposed to Karen on her birthday, during a live performance of the stage show they were dancing in, Burn the Floor.
Karen and Kevin went on to marry in 2015, much to the delight of Strictly Come Dancing fans.
However, following months of speculation, in March 2018 the pair confirmed they were no longer an item.
In an interview with HELLO! Magazine following their split, Karen said: “As performers with our fans and as a couple with our family, we have shared so much, so no matter what has happened, we can continue.
