Justin Timberlake has opened up about the parenting struggles he and wife Jessica Biel are experiencing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday, the My Love singer appeared on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 for a remote interview, where he explained that he and Biel are “commiserating” the fact that they’ve had to do “24-hour parenting” for their five-year-old son Silas Randall.
“We’re doing good. We’re mostly commiserating over the fact that we … just, 24-hour parenting is just not human,” Timberlake joked while shaking his head.
The singer then acknowledged that his son also requires breaks from him and Biel.
“I can see it, he gets a look,” Timberlake said, demonstrating a look of annoyance. “My son looks at me like this and I’m like: ‘Alright, cool, I got you.”
“Just a commercial break,” the 39-year-old added.
Earlier in the interview, Timberlake said the family-of-three is practising social distancing at their home in Montana, which he explained is secluded and allows them to enjoy nature.
“We thought the best way to kinda do our part was, we have a place in Montana and so, we came up here,” Timberlake said, adding that he and Biel feel “very lucky and blessed”.
The singer’s update comes after he urged his fans to help those in need by donating to organisations such as World Central Kitchen and the American Red Cross.
Sharing a photo of himself surrounded by snow and mountains to Instagram, Timberlake wrote: “We need to stick together and look out for each other during this crazy time. Go through my stories for some ways you can support your local communities.
“While there’s a lot of chaos and confusion right now, there’s also a lot of good and so many ways to help. Spread the word.”
