Justin Timberlake has announced that his special one-off London show has been cancelled.

The Cry Me A River singer, 43, has just announced a major new tour, including dates in the UK, to support his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was.

Justin has proven exceedingly controversial among some circles in recent months, with the release of Britney Spears’ memoir which lifted the lid on their relationship, and his apparent refusal to apologise to her after she apologised to him.

Despite this, fans of the Lovestoned musician were elated when he announced a free, one-night-only intimate gig at The Roundhouse in Camden, London – and have now been left heartbroken as he announced it was cancelled.

Justin took to Instagram on Thursday night, less than 24 hours before doors were set to open at the Roundhouse, and said he was extremely disappointed but he had no choice but to cancel the gig due to illness.

Speaking directly to fans, and with a scratchy voice, he said: ‘This is an unfortunate video I have to send out. But I’m sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I’m gutted about.

He said he was ‘gutted’ (Picture: Instagram)

‘I’ve been here in London all week and was so excited to perform Roundhouse. But… I’ve been battling some kind of bug and I thought it was getting better but it took a turn for the worse.’

Justin is appearing on The Graham Norton show on Friday night, which was pre-recorded during the week, and he admitted they ‘almost didn’t make it’ on the show ‘but was able to power through.’

‘But this morning I woke up feeling worse than ever.’

He went on to say that ‘maybe next time’ he would be able to perform at the Roundhouse, but said he feels ‘terrible’ and added ‘I hope none of you get this flu’.

It wasn’t all bad news however, as he announced on Friday morning that his world tour would be hitting several dates in England this summer.
