Woods’ car was heavily damaged from the crash and the former world No.1 was pulled from the wreckage by a fire crew using the jaws of life.

‘I’m sick to my stomach,’ Thomas said at a press conference when asked about Woods’ accident.

‘You know, it hurts to see one of your now closest friends get in an accident.

‘I just hope he’s all right. Just worry for his kids, you know. I’m sure they’re struggling.’
