Jurgen Klopp speaks out on Mohamed Salah’s form affecting Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes

Jurgen Klopp insists Mohamed Salah will return to goalscoring form sooner rather than later if his side keep manufacturing chances.

The Merseyside club have only managed to score in one of their last four games, with Klopp’s men playing out goalless draws with Bayern Munich, Everton and Manchester United.

Salah himself hasn’t scored for the Reds since their 3-0 victory over back in the Premier League back in early February.

The Reds’ attack is usually prolific, having scored 64 goals in the Premier League this season, but they appear to have hit a rough patch.

However, Klopp believes it’s only temporary and that Salah will start banging the goals in again sooner rather than later.

‘We have very often talks and everything and of course,’ Klopp said. ‘If you are a striker or an offensive player and you have chances in a game you want to score them, that’s clear.

‘But as a manager I’m more than used to that, that players don’t score all the time. That’s how it is.

‘He has an unbelievable record. His goals brought us where we are – not only him, but it was a big part of it.

‘So no, we didn’t really speak about it or whatever because it’s completely normal.’

Liverpool’s next fixture is against Burnley on March 10 before a Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on March 13.
