Joanna Gaines announces new solo memoir titled The Stories We Tell

Joanna Gaines announced she is releasing her first solo memoir, called The Stories We Tell.

The Magnolia Network star revealed the news about the book via her Instagram page, with a release date of November 8.

Joanna, 44, wrote a touching caption about her journey to writing the book, as well as a first look at the cover art.

Joanna shared a snap of her completed manuscript for her book, writing a lengthy caption.

She wrote: ‘Earlier this year I started jotting down memories and stories from the past, journaling about things I was still, years later, trying to work through.’

Adding: ‘Half of my life is behind me and I’ve been longing for clarity about what I should carry forward and how I could hold this next chapter well.’

‘At some point, I realized I was writing a story – my story. The bits and pieces that shape who I am,’ she said.

‘It was messy and winding and beautiful, and graciously revealed about a million wonders. Some of it broke my heart – and some of it pieced it back together.’

She continued: ‘I took this picture the day I finished it – and today we sent it off to the printer!! Its out of my hands and time to share it with the world.’

‘I’m feeling a little bit of everything: nervous, excited, vulnerable, but mostly hopeful. That any part of my story might shine a shine on the fullness of yours,’ Joanna said.

The former HGTV star has several books under her belt, including several with her husband Chip Gaines: The Magnolia Story, We are the Gardeners, Magnolia Table Cookbook, The World Needs Who You, Magnolia Table, Volume 2 and Homebody: A Guide To Creating Spaces You Never Want To Leave.

Joanna and Chip became household names with their show Fixer Upper on HGTV. 

They now have Magnolia Network, where views can stream shows, explore recipes and other creative workshops.

Joanna and Chip are parents to five children: Drake, 17, Ella, 15, Duke, 14, Emmie, 12, and Crew, four.
