Joan Collins sparks Instagram frenzy as she does own cleaning during coronavirus lockdown


Dame Joan Collins sparked a meltdown amongst her 191,000 Instagram followers, as she revealed how she was using her time in isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Dynasty legend shared a snap of herself and her husband Percy Gibbons getting their hands dirty.

The 86-year-old was seen adjusting to life without a cleaner when she uploaded a snap online.

She was instantly inundated with replies, with many left amused by her comments and attitude.

Wearing her brunette tresses down in a natural wave, Dame Joan was seen cleaning the windows complete with gloves.

The actress kept her hair off her face with a black headband, while showing off her slender frame in an uncharacteristically casual ensemble.

She wore a black sweatshirt, complete with a tiger-print motif, with leopard print trousers.

Meanwhile, her spouse, 55, who she wed back in 2002, beamed at the camera as he made the bed.

“Well, somebody has to do it!” she explained in the caption.

Presenter Davina McCall replied to her: “Love you guys x hope you are both doing ok and not going too stir crazy.”

Two people told her: “Glamorous even when cleaning,” and: “Even doing some housework you both look divine.”

“Hahahaha still stylish AF,”(sic) another reply went on, alongside: “Brilliant. You look glam even doing the cleaning x.”

The previous day, Joan had joined in with #ClapForOurCarers, which saw people up and down the country applaud NHS staff from their doorsteps for their hard work in this health crisis.

Alongside an image of the blue London Eye, she said: “Went out on my balcony with all my neighbours #thankyounhs #nhs.”
