Jesse Lingard risks wrath of Man Utd by teaming up with Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola amid transfer reports

JESSE LINGARD has reportedly teamed up with super agent Mino Raiola in a move which could put him on a collision course with Manchester United chiefs.

Paul Pogba’s representative has criticised the Old Trafford club as his star client continues to be linked with an exit.

The Daily Mail claims Raiola wants to work with more English clients and has added Three Lions international Lingard, 29, to his books.

Deals bringing Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku to United all went through the powerful Italian money man.

But the relationship has soured in recent weeks after Raiola blasted: “Pogba’s problem is Manchester United. It’s a club out of touch with reality and without a sporting project.

“I wouldn’t take anyone there, they would even ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini. Paul needs a club and a squad, one like Juventus was before.”

Lingard’s decision will raise questions about his future after he was linked with an incredible £45million swap deal bringing James Maddison to Old Trafford.

The Leicester ace has scored nine goals – including a stunner against Newcastle on New Year’s Day – and provided three assists this season.

And according to the Sunday Mirror, United are prepared to sacrifice Lingard to land the England playmaker.

They value their academy graduate at around £40m, making any potential Maddison deal worth around £85m.

Lingard endured a difficult 2019, failing to register a Premier League goal and managing just one assist.
