Jeremy Clarkson will be back for more Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

In Sunday’s finale of the current series Jeremy confirmed that new episodes will be on the way in 2020 for us to enjoy.

At the end of the episode the presenter reflected on his favourite moments from the current series.

He added: ‘We’ll be back in the New Year so see you then. Take care. Goodnight.’

The episode, which was extended by fifteen minutes as it was the series finale, ended with a contestant who walked away with a cool £250,000.

Howell Davis was stumped on the question: ‘As a boy, Alexander the Great was tutored by which of these philosophers?’ with the options of Thales, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.

Wisely he decided to take his quarter of a million and go home with his head held high. Can’t say we blame him.

He also appeared to drop a hint about where he would be headed for his day job, season four of The Grand Tour.

Speaking to contestant Erica Roberts, Jeremy mentioned that he would be heading off on a holiday when she had to answer the question: ‘Khmer is the official language of which country – Laos, Bhutan, Malaysia or Cambodia?’

Having used up her ask the audience lifeline and unsure if her friends would know the answer, she turned to Jeremy.

The presenter explained: ‘Here’s what I think. Earlier this year I spent two or three months in south east Asia. Not Bhutan. I will be going to Bhutan in about six months.

‘Where have I been in the world? Literally everywhere is the answer to that, including Cambodia – I think on five occasions – where the official language is Khmer.’

While his answer was of course incredibly helpful to Erica, the part about travelling to Bhutan six months after the episode was recorded could mean that’s where he, Richard Hammond and James May were headed to shoot new episodes of The Grand Tour.

Filming on the new season has also taken place in both Cambodia and Vietnam.

The show itself aired either side of an ITV documentary about Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will return to ITV.
