Jennifer Lopez is looking phenomenal at 50, so what are her beauty and wellness secrets?


If there’s a case for ageing backwards, Jennifer Lopez is it.

With her glowing skin and incredible physique, at 50 years old, the singer and actress is looking absolutely phenomenal.

After her appearance in Hustlers, as well as that appearance on the Versace runway this year, we’ve been pondering what the hell she does to look so damn good. Regular workouts


Fitness has always been a major part of Jennifer’s lifestyle and she’s admitted to working out as many times a week as possible.

Explaining her workout regime to Hollywood Life, she said: “I don’t like doing it later; it’s harder to get there when I have my day going already. I work out three or four times a week. When I’m in New York, I work out with David Kirsch — he’s an amazing trainer. When I’m in L.A., I work with Tracy Anderson. I like the balance that they both give me. They have two totally different approaches. I like switching it up with my body.”

Shunning caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes

We all know that cigarettes, coffee and alcohol aren’t exactly good for us but try as we might to resist them, we can’t live without our morning espresso and our nightly glass of red. Jennifer, however, has totally cut the three vices from her regime, telling the magazine: “I don’t drink, or smoke, or have caffeine. That really wrecks your skin as you get older.” Oh…

Her skincare staples


With a glow so famous she even named a perfume after it, J-Lo’s skin is literally lit from within. So what’s the secret behind her youthful, delicious visage? Jennifer has previously spoken about her penchant for glycolic acid, which has the ability to penetrate deeply into the skin and slough away dead skin and leave it fresh, bright and even. She also swears by a daily SPF, telling InStyle: “I am a firm believer in SPF. I try not to stay out in the sun too long.”

Affirmations

As well as her physical health and appearance, Jennifer Lopez takes good care of her emotional wellbeing. “Affirmations are so important,” she told Well + Good. “I am youthful and timeless. I tell myself that every day, a few times a day. It sounds like such clichéd bullshit, but it’s not; age is all in your mind.” Seems like it’s working for her.
