Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed has marked the couple’s 15th wedding anniversary.

TV personality Goody was 27 years old when she died on March 22, 2009, leaving behind her two children Bobby Brazier and Freddie Brazier, who at the time were just five and four years old.

One month before her death from cervical cancer, Goody married partner Jack, now 36, who was 21 at the time of their wedding.

Jack remains dedicated to his late wife, often sharing old photographs of the pair together to Instagram and fundraising for cancer charities in her memory – now helped by his girlfriend Ellie, who he has been with for two years.

On Thursday, Jack marked his and Goody’s 15th wedding anniversary by sharing an image from their ceremony: Goody in a white gown speaking into a microphone from the top table, while Jack, dressed in a tuxedo, appeared emotional alongside her.

He wrote: ‘Married 15 years ago today,’ along with a heart and praying hands emoji.

And he added an important message: ‘Don’t miss your cervical screening test.’

Jack added a link to the NHS website advising on how to book a cervical screening appointment.

Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2008 after she missed an appointment to get abnormal cells removed. The cancer spread to her bowel, liver and groin and she died in 2009.

Her public battle with the disease prompted hundreds of thousands of calls to Cancer Research UK and she was credited with boosting awareness of the condition.

In 2022, Jack spoke to Metro.co.uk where he said that even as the years pass, the grief doesn’t go away, explaining ‘you don’t really get over it, you jjujst learn to live with it.’

He said his charity work has made it feel like Goody is ‘back in my life a little bit, so it’s helping me.’

Goody’s eldest son, Bobby, has become a celebrity in his own right, and last year stunned audiences with his performances on Strictly Come Dancing.

One dance in particular left everyone in tears – including his younger brother Freddie, and father Jeff Brazier.

The EastEnders actor, now 10, danced with Dianne Buswell to Maxwell’s This Woman’s Work, which had been a tribute to his late mum.

After the pair performed the contemporary dance in the finale, Bobby’s dad, brother Freddie and step-mum Kate Dwyer were captured by the cameras in tears in the studio audience.
