Jacquemus marks 10th anniversary, expects sales growth

Simon Porte Jacquemus has announced his brand’s first unisex
fashion show to celebrate ten years in business. Slated for June 24 of
this year, the show will take place in the designer’s home region of
Provence.

Jacquemus’ namesake label has been growing steadily in recent
seasons, grabbing attention through Instagrammable and celeb-favored
accessories like its mini Le Chiquito handbag that debuted on the
runway earlier this year.

The bag, which retails around 430 dollars, has a depth of just 2.4
inches yet increased Jacquemus’ social media impressions by 1,831
percent. It only took a few weeks for the style to sell out in
multiple colorways; now Le Chiquito has accounted for at least 30
percent of the brand’s total revenue, according to WWD.

The designer told WWD that he expects the Jacquemus brand’s sales
to increase by 11.5 million euros from last year, totaling between 23
million and 25 million euros in 2019.
