It’s been 15 years since Friends aired it’s season 10 finale and we’re feeling nostalgic and albeit a little old.
We officially said goodbye to the sitcom, starring Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc, on this day back in 2004 with The Last One aka The One Where They Said Goodbye.
The episode aired in two parts and saw Monica and Chandler welcome twins Jack and Erica, Gunther confess his love for Rachel, and Rachel of course get off the plane for Ross.
The last scene sees the whole crew gather inside Monica and Chandler’s empty apartment as they prepare to leave for good and it’s every bit as emotional as you’d expect.
‘So I guess this is it,’ Phoebe says.
Joey replies: ‘Yeah, I guess so.’
‘This is harder than I thought it would be,’ Monica admits as she starts welling up.
Yep, that line still makes us cry to this day.
Die hard Friends fans have been busy celebrating the sitcom’s anniversarty on Twitter, writing: ’15 years today since the very last episode was aired.. never ever tire of binge watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘The last episode of ‘Friends’ aired 15 years ago today. I feel old.’
We feel you.
Friends is available to stream on Netflix.
