CALLING all music fans – the Isle of Wight Festival is on NOW.

But just who is performing, when is it on and are there still some tickets available? Here’s what you need to know…

When is the Isle of Wight Festival?

Grab your tent and wellies as the Isle of Wight Festival 2019 has begun TODAY (June 13).

The event is on now until Sunday (June 16) and this year the festival promises another unforgettable weekend for attendants.

The festival is held at the Seaclose Park, Newport, where a host of artists will take to the stage.

This year’s line-up is brimming with talent, including Noel Gallagher and Biffy Clyro.

Who’s in the Isle of Wight Festival line-up? 

The headliners are Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Biffy Clyro and George Ezra, with special guest Fatboy Slim.

Other artists headlining include Hacienda Classical, Wet Wet Wet, Garbage and Keane.

A number of pop acts are also performing, including Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne and Lily Allen.

Are tickets available for the Isle of Wight Festival?

Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster and other leading agencies.

Both weekend and day tickets are available. The latter allows unlimited re-entry, but doesn’t allow you to camp.

If you are disabled, you need to purchase your ticket via the Ticketmaster special access number – 0800 998 440.

The option for camping is VERY limited.

How do I get to the Isle of Wight Festival?

All festivalgoers need to do is get themselves to one of the four mainland ferry ports at Southampton, Portsmouth, Lymington or Southsea.

After a short crossing, they arrive on the Island with directions to the Isle of Wight Festival site.

The ferry ports are served by good rail and road links.

Buses are available from the harbour to the site.

 

Are there places to stay if I don’t want to camp at the Isle of Wight Festival? Do kids need to be accompanied by an adult?

There’s a variety of hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts and self-catering options in Newport – but these are likely to be sold out now.

The Isle of Wight Festival website has some suggestions for where to stay, or check out Expedia, Booking.com, Trivago, Holiday Lettings or Airbnb to see what’s on offer.

Teens must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over (one adult per five teens), while children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.

All parties are advised to bring proof of age.
