On her @jasminedinis2 account she shared how her comments section is a “very entertaining place for gals like me.”

In the clip she showed an example of a person criticising her lifestyle in a paragraph they had left under one of her videos.

The person claimed: “Girl… talk to us in 15-20 years.

“This little plan is all fine and good until your husband hits his midlife crisis and you have no career to fall back on to support yourself and your kids while he runs off with his secretary, nurse, paralegal, girl at the gym, girl he met online, his assistant etc.

“Good luck long term with this plan.

“Basically you are saying you are handing over your stability, to your partner and banking on him being the one to do it for you forever.

“That’s a lottttta trust.

“Hope it works out for you (highly suggest you look at the divorce statistics).”

Her video has racked up over 8,000 likes, but sparked a huge debate in the comments.

Some supported her being a tradwife and depending on her partner.

I’m a tradwife and love every minute – trolls say working is so much more empowering but they’re being scammed

One said: “they actually hate stay at home moms so bad and refuse to believe there are healthy marriages out there.”

Another added: “Perhaps the divorce statistics are that high because not enough people are doing exactly this?”

However, some people advised her that it’s not wise to not be independent.

One person agreed: “I mean she’s not wrong. Definitely need to have your own financial back up, cant put your 100% trust in someone forever.”

What is a tradwife?

A tradwife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.

The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.

Many tradwives choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).

Additionally, the values considered important to tradwvies are similar to strict Christian values.

Tradwives state that they are not forced into this way of life, and believe that it is their purpose to be homemakers.

In another clip, Jasmine added: “I’m teaching my daughter that it’s perfectly acceptable to depend on a man.

“That being a homemaker is the number 1 career she should strive for, and that serving her husband and bearing children will be her greatest joy.”

Jasmine has gained 50,000 followers on her account, which aims to promote “traditional motherhood and marriage.”

She continued in the caption: “In a world full of women teaching their children that their only goal is to go to university, get a good job and make money, I’m teaching my little girl to live a slow life, to be a biblical women that wants a husband & a beautiful family that she can serve daily.

“That joy comes from God & family, not from a career.”

While her video has racked up over 60,000 likes, it caused a strong reaction in the comments.

Many TikTok users took issue with her teaching her daughter this mindset.
