Iggy Azalea deletes social media accounts after her topless photos are leaked

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, 28, has deleted her social media accounts after her topless photos were leaked.

The star’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were deactivated on Monday hours after racy images from a 2016 photo shoot with GQ magazine surfaced online.

The photos, which were taken by Chilean-Canadian photographer Nino Muñoz, show Iggy posing in nothing but a pair of white pajama shorts with her breasts completely exposed.

Iggy addressed the leak on Twitter on Monday before deleting her account, writing: ‘A lot of high profile women have shot covers for GQ with a strategically placed hand, etc., covering their breasts etc. I always felt they were very beautiful covers, so I jumped at the opportunity,’

‘I hadn’t seen other women’s covers leak so I felt comfortable (on a closed set) to model for such a reputable magazine knowing only the images with my hands covering would be considered for print,’  she continued.

Iggy went on to say she ‘never consented’  to taking topless pictures for potential release, adding: ‘It was my understanding BEFORE shooting, GQ do not print topless pictures.’

‘There was no reason for anyone to have kept the outtakes from the shoot. I’m surprised and angry that they were not immediately deleted after the final images were selected.’

In another post, she wrote: ‘Today I am a ball of negative emotions. I feel blindsided, embarrassed, violated, angry, sad, and a million other things,’ she added. ‘Not solely because I did not consent to this – but also because of the vile way people have reacted.’

She went on to slam the vulgar and disturbing comments that have surfaced online since the photo leak, revealing that reading them made her feel physically ill.

Meanwhile, Nino Muñoz issued his own statement via Instagram on Tuesday morning, writing: ‘My heart goes out to anyone this situation has affected. I’m utterly outraged and will not rest until justice is served.’

‘I’m outraged and saddened to find out that images of mine were stolen and published without my permission. There is currently an investigation underway. Posting these stolen images is illegal and anyone who has done so will be prosecuted.’

‘I empethize [sic] with any discomfort that this situation has caused to anyone that is involved,’ he concluded.

Dr Ghavami had performed a breast augmentation on Iggy a year before the images were taken.

It’s not the first time Iggy has quit social media without warning.

Back in 2015, she deactivated her Instagram and Twitter accounts after she was body-shamed by online trolls while on holiday.

‘I don’t care about being relevant. I just want to live my life and deserve for whatever I do in the privacy of my own property not to be on a blog,’ she penned in a statement at the time.

‘That’s just human decency and if it’s hard for you to understand then you have a warped sense of reality.’

‘I’m not here for yall, don’t want or need you to talk about me and would be wildly happy if being irrelevant meant being able to check the mail in the morning without seeing a photographer hiding out in a car across the street. Peace!’
