Young Sheldon actor Iain Armitage was upset he wasn’t arrested at a climate change rally he attended with Jane Fonda.
Iain, 11, was on the march in Washington on Friday, joining the legendary actress at the podium for the food justice themed event.
While 38 people were arrested at the rally (as Jane has been at rallies past), the young actor wasn’t among the ones being cuffed.
At the rally he was approached by Washington Post reporter Hannah Jewell, who asked if had been arrested.
He replied: ‘Unfortunately not, I’m too young.’
Luckily for us she caught the great exchange on camera.
Jane, 81, famously accepted her Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film while being arrested at a similar rally a few weeks ago, leading to one of the best acceptance speeches of all time.
I asked Iain Armitage if he’s getting arrested today. “Unfortunately not. I’m too young.” Maybe when you’re older, young sheldon. pic.twitter.com/nSq9NKXjFI

The star has regularly been detained at the climate change protests – she had been arrested four times – something she doesn’t want to change any time soon as she vowed to get arrested every Friday to draw attention to the current crisis.
While the mother-of-three didn’t actually go to prison, she has spoken about how she was put into a holding cell alongside people who are waiting to be sentenced.
Describing the bleak conditions, Jane said: ‘The conditions weren’t great for old bones like mine on a metal slab.
‘The saddest part of it was seeing how — because our country doesn’t give enough money to resources like social safety nets and mental health institutions — there’s so many people in jail, you know, for poverty and racism and mental health issues.’
Looking quite concerned when chatting to Whoopi Goldberg and Abby Huntsman on The View, she added: ‘And it’s only going to get worse as the climate gets worse, so it was sad.’
