Hugh Grant brands Boris Johnson ‘over-promoted rubber bath toy’ as he pens scathing Twitter message

Hugh Grant has taken aim at Boris Johnson in a big way, branding the Prime Minister an ‘over-promoted rubber bath toy’.

And that was one of the nicer comments.

The Notting Hill star hasn’t been afraid to voice his political opinions, but clearly enough was enough for him when Boris tweeted a video explaining his controversial plan to suspend Parliament.

‘To invest in our NHS, deal with violent crime and cut the cost of living we need a Queen’s Speech,’ the Prime Minister tweeted alongside the video.

Hugh left everyone with some pretty vivid imagery in their heads, adding: ‘You will not f*** with my children’s future. You will not destroy the freedoms my grandfather fought two world wars to defend.

‘F*** off you over-promoted rubber bath toy. Britain is revolted by you and you [sic] little gang of masturbatory prefects.’

Can’t say he’s not honest. Safe to say, we’ll be storing that ‘bath toy’ insult for later use.

Hugh’s outburst comes after the Queen accepted Johnson’s proposal to suspend Parliament.

The move, which has prompted a furious political row, now means Tory rebels and the opposition parties face a race against time to stop a no-deal Brexit.

The manoeuvre halves the number of pre-Brexit sitting days when Government ministers can be held to account.

Ministers are set to return to London after the summer recess on September 3.

Meanwhile, Hugh’s not the only star to be unimpressed with Boris at the moment, after Liam Gallagher claimed he got the job as PM ‘because he’s f***ing ugly.’

Continuing to Dutch radio KINK, the outspoken star said: ‘You’ve gotta be ugly for that job, and Boris Johnson is f***ing ugly.

‘When my dashing good looks start to fade, which will be in about 30 years, I might run for Prime Minister.’

It was hardly the first time Liam has thrown his name in the ring, proclaiming earlier this year he’d be up for running the country.

He tweeted in June: ‘My name is Liam Gallagher I have 4 beautiful children I have dabbled in drugs over the years I’ve had many number 1s now send me the keys to no10 I’ll sort this pile of s*** out. WHY ME? WHY NOT.’

You don’t ask, you don’t get, right?
